The white flowers are Icelandic poppies paired with the rose to represent my parents. My children called my dad "Poppy" and the rose is a reference to a rose tattoo. I chose a soft green background to play a warm color against the cool green vessel.
I love to infuse symbolism in my paintings. Nothing is an accident.
